For the price, the Apple Ipod Nano 16 Gb Orange comes widely recommended and is a popular choice amongst lots of people. With so many on offer right now, it is great to have a name you can believe. The product is certainly that and will be a excellent purchase. The manufacturer have added some great touches and this results in great value for money. You can believe this review, i hope you can try to buy this product if you want know this product.
I'm one that uses the Nano solely as a music player, therefore the subtraction of video features was not a issue for me. I have now owned my iPod Nano 6th gen for a little over a year and this is what I think of the player.

-[POSITIVE ASPECTS]-
+ I'm not a touch fan because of the inconvenience of having to look at the screen anytime I wanted to do anything with it but adding the armband has virtually eliminated this complaint, yes you still have to look at the screen but you can do it quickly and painlessly. I find its usability (with the armband) to be just as great as the previous generations.

+ The screen is responsive and despite being so small it is quite easy to quickly navigate. The quick letter scrolling on the right side of the screen is actually very responsive and surprisingly easy to use despite having such a small screen. I've had very few situations where the screen was not immediately responsive when I swipe or touch the screen, the only time there seems to be a delay is when I'm loading a playlist that has a lot of songs (over 1,000) and even then it doesn't take that long.

+ Sound quality is probably the best of the current generations of iPods, its louder and sounds more full compared to the iPod Classic and even the iPod Touch. I actually found the SQ to be better than my iPod Classic, even with the 128kbps AAC conversion turned on vs full bitrate music (at least 256kbps) on my iPod Classic.

+ navigation is extremely quick and effective for a touch screen. tap the (i) in the corner of the now playing screen and a list of songs from that album will show up along with the ability to rate the song. A simple swipe to the right goes back to the Now Playing screen. You can also swipe to the left from the now playing screen to get access to fast forwarding/rewinding a song, genius list creation, repeat and shuffle functions. This device actually offers the quickest navigation for rating songs than any other iPod I have used; which includes iPod Video, iPod Classic, iPod Shuffle 2nd/3rd/4th gen and iPod Nano 1st/2nd/4th generations.

+ Physical button functions are added with the 1.2 software update, as such you can customize the power button to function as a start/stop button or skip forward button when the user double taps the power button. This is excellent for those times you can't or don't want to look at the screen but want to skip to the next song or if you are interrupted and need to quickly pause the music.

+ Software update 1.2 adds the ability to change the main navigation screen to make it easier for those who had trouble touching the small icons on the home screen. Now the device will display one giant icon and you can swipe through them instead of having 4 small icons per screen.

+ Device is solid. Nano is made out of aluminum & glass while all the other competition (outside of the now defunct Zune) is using cheap plastic to make their players. This is one thing that always stood out to me with iPod products, they are definitely built to last versus the competition.

-[NEUTRAL ASPECTS]-

-/+ Colors aren't very great this year. I find the orange to be far too gold looking for my taste. Green and blue have a real pale look to them versus the last generation. The ones that look good are graphite and red (red looks EXTREMELY rich this year), sadly the standard silver is also pale in comparison to the previous generation.

+/- Incredibly small and versatile. Being as small as it is and light the player can go virtually anywhere on you and will take no space in your pockets (depends on where you clip it of course). The clip is strong enough to be sturdy but not have a death grip on your clothes either. You'd really have to shake, rattle and roll if you wanted the device to fly off your body. There is a drawback to this, if you're one of those types that lose things this device would be easy to lose and since it has virtually no weight this thing could easily end up in the washing machine.

+/- iTunes, while bloated, is one of the best products you can use to sync music players. None of the competition even comes close to the options iTunes allows with Smart Playlist, virtually any rule you can think of can be created in iTunes. At the same time the software can be buggy and in extreme cases, some upgrades can even cause you to lose you're entire library (happened to me twice)!

-[COMPLAINTS]-

- No capacity updates going on 4 years now; It should be hitting 32GB by now at the same price point but for whatever reason Apple has decided capacity is no longer important. Sad coming from the company that was once light years ahead of the competition in this department. Would like to see Apple bump up the capacity at the next iPhone/iPod event. That being said, I think my space requirements is in the minority, 16GB should be plenty for those of you that don't have 100s of gigs of music. For me, 16GB even with 128kbps conversion turned on does not allow me to put on all the music that I enjoy listening to (songs rated 4+) so if I have a song that I want to listen to I have to hope it synced this time around.

- Screen is prone to scratching as well as cracking. My first 6th generation nano got a cracked screen a little over a year after ownership and there were no drops or unnecessary roughness done on my part. It also ended up pretty scratched even though it spent most of its life on my upper arm in a armband. So I recommend one invest in a clear screen cover to help prevent scratching.

- Downgraded from previous versions, no camera, no speaker, no video support or built in microphone. Something that ultimately should have dropped the value of the device rather than keeping the device at the same price point when it first came out.

- Pricing is still high for what you get. Even though the price has been dropped in 2011, you can get a Sansa ClipZip @ 8GB capacity for less than half the price of the 8GB nano, plus buy a 16GB expansion card (giving a total capacity of 24GB) and still come out ahead. $130 for 8GB with no option of expanding in 2012 is a little absurd. What I think the pricing should be is, $100 for the 8GB and $130 for the 16GB.
